Hawaii Labiaplasty and Vaginoplasty
Board Certified Plastic Surgeon - Dr. Michael Anthony Pasquale D.O.
specializes in labiaplasty, vaginoplasty and many other female cosmetic
surgery procedures at his Plastic Surgery Hawaii Honolulu clinic.
Many women are uncomfortable with their genitalia because of enlarged
labia minora (lips). In some cases, a woman with oversized (or floppy)
inner genital lips can experience pain and irritation during intercourse
or simply while riding a bicycle or exercising. Oftentimes a thick,
asymmetrical labia can be noticeable through tight fitting clothing,
making a woman feel unattractive and self conscious. Most women
who elect to have labiaplasty surgery are concerned with their self
image and sometimes feel embarrassment with a sexual partner. Labiaplasty
surgery performed by a skilled and experienced plastic surgeon addresses
all of these issues.
The purpose of undergoing a labiaplasty is to reshape or reduce
the labia minora by better defining the labia, leading to a more
symmetrical clean appearance. Any large protuberance of the labia
minora can be caused by genetics, injury, sexual intercourse, childbirth
or aging. Labiaplasty surgery can restore a woman's self esteem
and confidence and result in a more youthful appearance to her genitalia.
Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Dr. Pasquale performs a specially
developed labiaplasty surgical technique that retains the individual
shape and pigmentation of each particular patient. As with all of
our surgical procedures, with labiaplasty the greatest care is taken
to leave no visable scarring. In most cases, the labiaplasty surgery
is virtually unnoticeable after the patient is fully recovered and
healed. Dr. Pasquale achieves a final result that is nothing short
of amazing, and our patients have been more than pleased with the
transformation achieved through labiaplasty surgery.
It is widely accepted these days for a woman to elect to have botox
injections to erase wrinkles, or surgery to refine their nose and
enlarge their breasts. It is no longer shameful or embarassing to
want, or to have cosmetic surgery to change the body you were born
with or the wrinkles that have come with aging.
Likewise, more women than ever are concerned with the appearance
of their genitals or a lack of sexual gratification. Women are much
more aware of their genitals and the aesthetics of their vagina.
There is an obvious, direct connection between a woman's comfort
level with her genitals, and her sexual enjoyment. The fact is,
there are millions of women who would seek to improve the appearance
of their genitals or enhance their sexual satisfaction through cosmetic
surgery procedures such as labiaplasty or vaginoplasty.
The problem is there are very few plastic surgeons with the training
and expertise required to carry out cosmetic genital surgery (labiaplasty).
Hawaii - Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Dr. Michael Pasquale has
extensive training and experience in genital reconstruction including
labiaplasty and vaginoplasty. His Hawaii Clinic sees patients from
around the world such as Japan, Singapore, Korea, Mainland USA and
Europe. Many patients fly in and have labiaplasty or vaginoplasty
surgery and spend the rest of the time recovering and sightseeing
in Hawaii. Labiaplasty and vaginoplasty surgery produce very predictable
results with minimal risk, and our patients are extremely happy
to have undergone labiaplasty surgery.
Labiaplasty - The purpose of undergoing a labiaplasty is to reshape
the labia minora, leading to a more symmetrical clean appearance.
Any large protuberance of the labia minora can be caused by genetics,
injury, sexual intercourse, childbirth or aging, which is easily
corrected through labiaplasty surgery.
Vaginoplasty is the procedure used to tighten the vaginal canal
which may have a larger diameter than prior to childbirth or from
changes associated with aging. Sometimes a poorly healed episiotomy
(cut made at childbirth) may require correction. Vaginoplasty is
more of a reconstructive procedure to "tighten" the vaginal
opening which my increase sexual pleasure for both partners. Vaginoplasty
and labiaplasty can be combined along with other cosmetic procedures
as well.
Pubic Mound Reduction or Mons Pubis Reduction (as the medical term)
makes the area over the vagina smaller. This in some women is a
hill which is noticeable and detracts from a woman's appearance
in today's tight fitting clothing. This can be a result of genetics
or possibly from a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) procedure which reduces
the abdomen and leaves the mound high.
