| Laser Liposuction vs. Traditional Liposuction Laser liposuction is a new procedure in the USA and is different than traditional liposuction. It is used to reduce fat in small areas, such as: the face, neck, breasts and arms. Its benefits include less risks, such as: less bruising, bleeding and swelling as well as the use of a local anesthetic as opposed to general. Liposuction procedures are not weight loss solutions, they are performed to improve the appearance of small areas of fat when regualr excersise and diet do not help. Laser liposuction is diffenet than tradition liposuction because a laser is used to melt the fat before it is sucked out. With less trauma, such as bleeding or swelling, the recovery is much faster.
